My Project, Part 12

Hello everybody,

The schedule's been a horrible, horrible thing, and I don't think that I will be able to get the project done before the impending crunchtime. AP Tests are fast approaching, and to make matters worse, my choir teacher is hosting auditions the EXACT SAME day as the meeting I scheduled.

It's just horrible! Now I have to move the meeting to Tuesday next week... And I'm not even sure if that will be a good date.

Hopefully on in a few days, Ian

My Project, Pt 11

Well, it's official. I am planning the video, and I am ordering the props. For those who have been following, I know that the past few weeks have been heavy on saying and light on doing, but quite frankly, I have a lot of stuff to do. I have AP Testing for the next two weeks and, quite frankly, I won't have any time to do much. I am planning to have a rehearsal next Sunday, stay tuned for more updates.

Here is the link to the document again: Every FPS Ever Made

Thank you for following me all this way,

Ian

My Project, Mark X

Hello everybody,

After weeks of painstaking failure to have a clear schedule, I may be making some progress. Recently, I gathered together a meeting of the most dastardly and devious minds on the planed and we are going to make a video about opening an attache case. Not just any attache case, though- one carrying some of the deadliest weaponry known to man! Either that, or the pistol you get at the beginning of the game.

In addition, a video will be made about the most melancholy video game character ever- a generic medic.

Expect to see these videos up in two weeks.

YES!!!!

My Project, Pt. 9

Good news everyone!

I have finally made progress on my project; I have gathered my men, and I have come up with simply DYNAMITE scripts. The costume designs are all but done, and everything is turning out roses. Even doing like, twelve hours straight on Little Shop of Horrors couldn't stop me!

Since actions speak louder than words, here are my finished scripts: Every FPS Ever Made
The scripts are incomplete, but they are pretty dang good.

Happy Acting,

Ian

My Project- Pt 8

Hello eveyone,

I haven't been able to get much done at all this week because of a choir trip- we were gone for, essentially, half the dang week. Going to a Padres game, the San Diego zoo, and Sea World was nice, though. My choir sung "The Star-Spangled Banner" before the Padres game, and we also sung in the Heritage Festival competition. In a surprising development, the nearly- untouchable FVHS choir was utterly smashed by a newcomer- although, to be fair, we kind of became overconfident before the competition. Perhaps this was a necessary loss after all... but we still had a great time.

We left on Wednesday and came back on Sunday.. so yeah, I was pretty tired, and I pretty much will be tired all of next week.

I'm tired as heck,
Ian

P.S. I forgot to post Post 6 and 7 up when I was supposed to- I accidentally just saved them to Drive- sorry.

My Project, pt. 7 (Late)

Ugh... I'm posting this at 11:00 at night because I forgot to post on my project entirely...Over the past week, I have been thinking about the project in general... and it seems completely unrealistic to try to make a video series... perhaps just a few small videos would be okay. Over the break, I got pretty much nothing done because nearly everyone who wanted to be part of it is on break, and I have my Eagle Project to organize.

Essentially, I have nothing to show from the break except for a few revised scripts and costume designs. It was a fun rest, but now it's time to get back to work.

Taking it slow,
 Ian

My Project, Part 6 (Late)

Hello, and welcome to another exciting bulletin of "What has Ian managed to do this entire week"?
There hasn't been much progress-focusing on a rash of before-break tests- but I have gotten some great input from some others about my scripts- perhaps a good idea would be to show the scripts to people in theater or English for help. Theater has also been a beotch, now we're staying back three and 1/2 hours after school instead of two like before. I have almost no time.

Hoping to finish,

Ian

My Project, Pt.5

Well, I'm beat.

After the burst of activity a week earlier, I seem to have hit a wall. The preproduction meeting that I scheduled for this Friday has just folded- it's just stupid that everyone cancelled at the last minute AFTER RSVPing, except for Cong, who I must thank for standing by me and proofreading my scripts, and giving me ideas. The real problem is scheduling- I need to set a time next week, maybe on Sunday, or maybe a weekday when nobody is really doing anything.

Costuming has gone great though!

Aargh and urgh,

Ian

My Project Pt 4

So, a bunch of you have been wondering what my project was, after my speech. Well, I feel pretty idiotic, because it is supposed to be a LIVE ACTION webseries, using REAL ACTORS. My progress on this has been limited but inexorable- I have gotten five three-minute scripts done, plus the costuming has been all but completed. I also know a video editing MASTER that will edit the videos in return for being able to post the videos on his own channel.

The main way in which I will get my messages across is through shorts, approximately three minutes long, packed with jokes and sophisticated political commentary. I'm not joking about the last one. They will be in the same general format as the "Meet the Team" shorts from TF2, which I will link to below.

Happy shooting,

Ian

My project (Pt 2)

Well, the project  has been having a few smafus- chief among them is the fact that my computer's hard drive got wiped out by my sister and I had to get a new one, and that i also need to get enough people on board for it. I am currently undergoing the process of finding a suitable crew that actually would like to pay for their own equipment; it doesn't look good for the project. However, I have managed to have a full script done, and more will soon be on the way. I've learned a lot- you need to get organized before doing anything else.

Ah well, if it doesn't work out, I can always go with the Velcro tuxedo shirt or some sort of charity.
Selling easy-to-wear tuxes should make me a millionaire! (buahahaha)

(Note: Meeting is going on March 22- stay tuned for more info.)

My project

Hello everybody,

For the past two weeks my AP English class has been doing a project, in which you present an idea to the class and show what the basic idea is; and how it should be completed. My project will be a video series. Not just any video series, it will be a series lampooning: Every FPS Ever Made.

Some of the readers of this blog are familiar with the first-person shooter genre, in which the main character is usually some soldier somewhere, ending some terrorist plot. Alternatively, he may be a mercenary killing people for money.

There are also several tropes common to many shooters, like the "melee weapon instantly kills" trope.

I plan to lampoon these mechanics in a monthly live- action comedy sketch, using relatively realistic equipment and a good sense of humor. Costs will be relatively high, but it will be split between members of the group.
